Weight
We are not that different,
you and I
We both smile and greet others,
like the pain in our soul would not be there at all,
like there would be no shards of glass stuck to our brain
Your eyes are painted with the colours of Life,
yet behind your gaze,
I sense the same way of struggling to breathe,
the same feeling which is slowly,
drowning my heart as well
I wish to hold you,
but every single time I get close,
the walls, hiding all your sadness, rise
Do you not see,
the lavender scented candle on my bedside table?
Nights pass and new days dawn,
the voices inside my head scream louder,
every passing second
You do not cry,
but behind your mask lingers blame itself
Hate is a strong word,
even for us humans
Why do you repeat it?
The soul inside you is growing,
weeds instead of flowers
